This year, one of our certificate programs— The Certificate Program in Sustainable Development (CPSD) — is cooperating with the Worldwide Universities Network Virtual Summer School and the University of York, the UK to deliver a virtual summer school on the topic of “Act for Sustainability” to aspiring leaders, both postgraduate and undergraduate, from around the world. The United Nations (UN) has established 17 sustainable development goals (SDG) as the blueprint to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all. At this virtual summer school, we are offering you nine sessions that correlate to a specific SDG target. Leading academics from NCKU and the University of York will offer interactiveclasses, exploring sustainability issues, offering hands on learning to address the challenges, opportunities and solutions to Sustainable Development. Experts will equip students with the skills necessary to navigate the complex global challenges of today’s world. Students will work closely in a diverse cohort comprised of students from around the world, throughproject-based activities, highlighting the importance of collaboration, creativity, storytelling and critical thinking skills. We also offer a beginners' Chinese class for early registrants and a virtual tour of our city to enable you to immerse yourself in a different cultural background and the beauty of Tainan, the most ancient and historical city in Taiwan.
